Saskia, the owner, was born and raised in the Netherlands. Following her hairdresser education in Leiden, the Netherlands, and Vidal Sassoon in London, England, she moved to Curaçao and finally landed in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her love for the croquette has made her passionate about one day selling kroquetten and bitterballen in the USA. After more than a decade of searching for the true gourmet croquette, she came into contact with Alex Voorn, and from there, the “ball” started rolling. As of October 2015, Jacksonville Dutch Croquettes sells Voorn Croquettes and Bitterballen (croquette bites) for the Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and North Florida area.
